No Fishing Sign

If you have noticed that the fountain in front of the pool house no longer works, you’re not alone. Not only does the fountain add aesthetic beauty, it aerates the water so the creatures that live in the lakes and canals can have more oxygen and it keeps the water moving so the algae build-up is minimized, saving the HOA (and by extension, the residents) money on extra maintenance. This fountain is broken because fishing line had gotten coiled around it and burned up the motor. Now the Board has to use homeowners’ money to purchase a new fountain, as the old one is not repairable.

There are several signs posted throughout the neighborhood along the lakes and canals that advise residents not to fish, swim or dive. Unfortunately, some homeowners and guests (particularly youngsters) ignore the signs and take their fishing gear to the water.

Residents, please heed the signs and let your children know that they cannot fish in the canals. The Board understands that fishing is a fun family activity, but unfortunately, Silvercreek’s canals are not the place to do it. This will help residents save money in the future by preventing things like this from happening again. Rules are there for a reason, not to blindly restrict activities. Thank you for your cooperation!
